Day 1:
Taking Jetstar from Singapore to Phuket, takes around 1 hour & 20 minutes.
Most of the passengers are Angmoh, not so many Asians.
At first, we wanted to take cab cost 600 baht, then the staff told us the minibus is 150 baht per person, so we decided to take the minibus. The only thing we have to do is to wait till enough people then only set off.
It took around 1 hour then only reach our guesthouse, on the way they also drop off passengers to other hotel. The guesthouse is quite convenient, near to the main street and have a convenience mart downstairs.
The staff blur blur one and doesn’t speak English well, spend some time to re-confirm the room and number of days we stay. Finally get the room key, it is on the 4th floor, without lift, quite tiring to walk with the luggage. Simple breakfast is included, but only ate on the last day of stay.
Quite spacious and simple room, nothing much to see from the window, 500 baht per night, can’t be expecting too much. After put down our luggage, we went down to walk around and familiarize ourselves with the environment and bought some drinks and snacks to bring back.
Day 2:
Wake up.
Walk to Jungceylon, the nice shopping mall in Patong area. Had lunch at Fuji restaurant, the food not that nice actually but it’s quite crowded. After meal, walk along the street and finding the tour agent for the tour package. Asked a few tour agent, price is high and the people seems doesn’t want to bother us at all.
Finally, we found the agent recommended on website and we decided to take the Phi phi island & James bond island package from him. Then we took the Fantasea show package from another agent which offer cheaper price. Initially we wanted to watch at night but only to found out that it close on Thursday, so can only watch on Friday.
Hanging around the town area for quite sometimes, we decided to go back to Jungceylon, cuz it is hot out there. And to fill up our night event, we bought a pair of movie tickets. If follow tours, definitely we can’t anyhow change our plan, haha.
Their cinema is charge by different seat type not the movies. The theater is big but only 5 of us inside watching the movie called “Legend of the Guardians”. And we have to stand up as they will be singing the national anthem before the movie start.Movies is overall ok, nothing fantastic.
After the movies, went out dinner at No.6 restaurant, order some local foods, price is cheap, taste ok too. Ended our day 2 in patong.
