Chatuchak here we come! Do reach there is pretty simple, took bts to Mo Chit station, then follow the crowd, you will reach the super big Chatuchak weekend market.
We reach there about noon time, so first thing we do is buy cold drinks. Such a good weather there, is hot! We manage to find one stall that sell coconut ice-cream, alot of bloggers will recommend this must try item. 2 scoop of ice-cream and you can choose different topping. They also serve us coconut water, nice!
The overall area is super big, and you won’t be able to cover all the area, so we just choose certain area we interested on like clothing & accessories. You can also download this iphone apps called ‘Chatuchak’, you can detect where you are and also view the virtual map. Otherwise can take the map copies from the information counter.
We manage to bought some clothes then head off to look for lunch. Stop by a small stall, we ordered a pad thai & soup noodles, quite cheap, about 40baht only, taste is ok, their portion actually quite small.
Thereafter, we shop along those accessories & clothing area, manage to buy some items. We only manage to cover the clothing area, then some of the furniture and pet section. Didn’t spend too much time there as the weather is really too hot.
Next, we took a cab to the Khao San road, the famous road for backpackers. There is a lot budget hostels, backpacker house available in this area. However, there is no bts or mrt nearby, but there are buses connecting to other provinces. Thus, still a lot of backpacker choose to stay at this area.
We had our early dinner at Tom Yum kung, it was behind one of the main street. As only 2 of us, so we couldn’t order too much food. We ordered a tom yum kung, fried kailan & fried chicken wing, the food serve together and is very yummy!
After the meal, we walk around khao san road area till night time.. quite happening place during night time, saw alot of foreigners. Selling different kinds of goods/souvenir/clothes, also massage along the street.
