Our main purpose to travel so far to Lovina was to watch the dolphin.
Driver helped us to book a boatman, Rp75k per pax.
Woke up early in the morning, luckily the rain stopped! But we have no idea whether we will be able to see the dolphin not. Had simple meal then we set off to the nearby jetty, our boatman actually came fetch both us on his bike. Woohoo, so chilling in the morning cool air.
Another pair of Swedish couple joined us for the boat ride. The boat is so narrow that only one person to sit for one seat and it has handle on both side. Looks dangerous to me, cuz I can’t swim! Immediately put on the safety suit, even though it’s damp and a bit dirty, So it’s 2 couples + the boatman. Surprisingly, the boat was quite stable, except there was time the wave is rather big. Other than that, do bring waterproof bag if u wannt bring some stuff.
So nice to see the sun slowly rise from the sea… we saw other boats as well, some of them is equipment tripod and good camera, all of us is moving to the same direction. Can’t recall exactly how long, probably is about 30-45 mins we reached the spot. Wow.. saw the dolphin appear in front of my eyes… so near yet so far. But it was so exciting, they swim in and out so fast. Seems smaller size than those we saw in theme park or zoo. Nevertheless it is a nice experience to see the wild dolphin swim freely in the ocean so close to us, we were so exciting, keep snapping photos and taking video… Have to be fast, else only can capture the sea picture. I manage to take a few, even though not very clear.
We spend like about 20 minutes and the boatman brought us back. He just alight us at the beach behind our hotel, we just got to walk a bit then can back to our room. Rest for awhile then took breakfast at the restaurant. Not so nice breakfast as per the review, but it’s better to find our own food.
Drive picked us up around 11am to our next destination. First stop at Gitgit waterfall. Tickets: Rp5k per person. There is tour guide service you can engage near the car park, but we didn’t get any of them. Weather wasn’t that good, it start drizzling again, so we didn’t spend very long time there. Not so fantastic waterfall compare to the one we saw in Taiwan, not so much tourist as well.
Our next stop is Tanah Lot, we been there for last trip as well… place doesn’t seem change much but the ticket increase lots – Rp30k per pax now. It was so hot when we reached there, however, the sky turn as below as we spend our time there. Unpredictable weather! No beautiful sunset, only dark cloud and rain.
This round we chose to stay in Seminyak, booked at Pool Villa with Jas Boutique Villa, the villa signboard is not very obvious, so spend some time to find for the venue. Our room was upgraded to 2 bedroom pool villa, so nice to have own pool. But the other room was totally useless. It was an enjoyable stay except the air-con is not enough cold for the room , Villa provide free transport within Seminyak area, however during peak hour is difficult to get them.
Had our dinner at one of the Italian restaurant, the food is nice and affordable. Enjoy so much
