Another month, my baby Ainsley is growing up well. Our lives change a lot ever since her arrival. She brings us so much joy and yet so much work for the whole family.
I’m still sleep deprived all the times. It’s not easy for a full time working mum to juggle well both work and baby. I will latch her before I go for work in the morning. Pump twice during office hour. After work, I will direct feed her again. There will be another of pumping during midnight while she wake up for feeding again.
Her timing is more or less stabilized. But we started again since we spotted her first tooth. I wonder why her development is much faster than we expected. Cranky and drinking less milk, and within weeks her second tooth pop-up again.. And now, the third one seems like on the way. And she bite on me, ouch! Give her some lecture, and hopefully she not going to do it again. It’s really painful 😥
I must say babies are smarts. she never failed to catch our attention. Now her favourite is the remote control and grab& throw game. She will roll over, turn her body and roll over again to get to her destination. If not, she just make noise, signal you to pick her up. She never failed to amaze me, sometimes I just laugh at her when crying to help, so cute! Sometimes she just wanna a hug, which we willingly give her.
Since her first teeth pop already. I think it’s time to start her with solid food soon. But we still going to start at her’s 6 months old. I’ve been trying to do some research over what to give her for the start of solid food, there’s a quite a lot information over the internet. We have also bought the blender to blend her food, but i doubt mil will wanna use that? haha.. personally i prefer give her puree first. But we’ll see how, after all daytime still mil take charge, got to suit her way too.
Went for immunisation again, this time round, WH hold her and she did not cry at all. My brave baby, her weight is increase almost 1kg compare to last visit, height also increase too. Celebrating Mother’s day for the first time, but baby Ainsley didn’t sleep during our meal, so we couldn’t really enjoy the event. Hope she will celebrate with me when she grows older.
We bought her a playmat, so that she can crawl on it. She is now able to lift her thigh and buttock up, with a little bit of crawling. Whenever she cranky, i just need to lay her on the bed/playmat, she will be in her crawling mode on. Well, she can drag her body, as long she saw the remote control, she would always go after it.. and put inside her mouth… faint.
Her sleep pattern changes as well, she can roll over from back to front, from front to side. Co-sleeping with her is not fun, she will turn her body in different direction. Well, good thing is she can sleep on back herself now. Previously she only able to sleep well on tummy position.
I’m a bit worry about her skin, still a bit dry, even though have apply lotion. Her finger nail grow very fast, have to cut every week. Ever since i accidentally cut her nail last time, I have not attempt to do so again. So this task is assigned to WH.. permanently.
