The long waiting day is finally come.
My baby Ainsley is turning 1. Had a pretty busy week, the birthday party on Sunday, Friday I gonna pick up my sister and attend her. Saturday have to attend my friend’s wedding and Sunday is the party!
Sunday we woke up around 8 plus to prepare. WH helps to put up the decoration on Saturday night. However, we got to move the decoration to another side of the wall since the catering took up alot space.
The catering company arrives around 11am, after some discussion, they help us to setup the catering in our living room instead of the corridor. Our corridor is quite cramped and would not be so nice to let the guest to get the food outside. The food looks nice and the portion looks much bigger than we expected. They even provide a small Christmas tree. Guest feedback that the food was quite nice but still couldn’t finish the food.
The cake turn out to be a bit late as I didnt read the email from bakers, able to confirm with her and arrive before 12pm. My guests all turn up late, so we have time to mingle with those arrive earlier. Near 1pm then everyone has arrived and we start the buffet officially.
Baby Ainsley seems no clue as what’s going on, but she seems like not getting enough rest that she falling asleep before the party start. Mummy’s bad, should have feed her well and let her sleep more. She turn a bit fussy and start crying with some many people in the house.
We had the cake cutting ceremony around 2pm. She seems back to her ownself, and trying to grab the knife. Haha. The first few photo taking is ok. The few next, she started to cry, haha. No choice, we got to take a break before we continue again.
Around 2.30pm, the caterer come back to collect the equipment. All guests all small eater, so thats quite a long leftover food. We takeaway some, but the food cant actually keep for long. The mee siam already turn sour by evening. Hmm, wasteful but no choice. This probably the last time we would order catering again.
It’s a nice afternoon to have our friends and families to celebrate Ainsley’s first birthday. I don’t think she would recall that, but she can always refer to the photos, hahaha. It’s more of a memory for the adults and reason for celebration. I hope she grow up healthily and happily.
