In fact, this is my third pregnancy. After the lost of number two, we decided to try again. When the pregnancy kit showing the two lines. We know that baby is coming back to us.
As my previous gynae’s clinic location is further after we move to new place. Thus we decided to change to another gynae that is nearer to our house. Reason being will need to visit more often during last trimester. And the doctor happen to my friend’s doctor too and she feedback the doctor is ok. The only problem is the clinic is always crowded and long waiting, so doctor tends to be very quick during consultation.
The first checkup was arrange around the 8 weeks, as the earlier scan might not give result. Next was to arrange for the week 12 scan and also the week 20 scan. Both conducted at novena which is easy to access through mrt.
My first trimester started with morning sickness and reach its peak during week 12. I have no appetite and vomit all different of food or without food. And finally get better after week 13 or 14. I never vomitted so much during first pregnancy. Next, I keep having running nose or flu, so end up have to take medication. Even though I try to avoid taking medication.
Second trimester is much better and we can finally confirm the gender. It’s a boy! We arrange a short trip to Batam, last trip travel with Ainsley before she upgraded to sister. Short trip, but with my heavy tummy, can’t really walk much or enjoy the trip. And we didn’t manage to get any nice food for our liking.
Last trimester, the constipation and sneeze pee is killing. Sleeping at night become torture. I couldn’t find a comfortable position. And once I was awake for pee, it’s tough for me to sleep in again. Nevertheless, the best part of the pregnancy is to getting know my baby is doing well during each checkup and his movement in my tummy. My baby boy surely more active than Ainsley and he is an night owl! During the week 37 checkup, he actually in transverse position instead of head down.
As my previous was c-sec, so based on doctor recommendation, we would have a scheduled c-sec this time. Seriously, it’s kind of mixed feeling as the date is getting nearer. Gotta relive the sleepless night moment again, and with the active toddler we have, can we actually cope with both of them. And how’s Ainsley going to react towards to her little brother. At the other hand also excited for the arrival of new born. I guess we just have to brave ourselves to overcome the challenges we going to face.
