That wasn’t part of the plan. Original plan was sis to join cousin & his family for Disneyland while we going to ocean park. Well, due to some miscommunication, we decided all to join. That’s the advantage of free & easy, can always change plan, haha. Couldn’t find the breakfast photo, hmm, cant remember what we had. Anyway, we reached Disneyland around 10am. Purchased the additional tickets, then wait for cousin family. As expected they are late, haha. By the way, the ticket is cheaper if brought from Agency than at the counter. So we start our Disney journey… we have to choose some of the least exciting rides to suit everyone. The queue is quite long for some of the ride. Thank god, the weather is sunny yet not too hot. Much better than my first trip to Disney, was on Summer, the weather is crazy, sweating all the way. Had late lunch as avoiding the lunch crowd. Not the best food in town obviously and quite costly, their portion is big, in my view. Next is the parade, that’s the fun part of the event. You see lots of the Disney character appearing. Everyone stand along the pathway to see the parade. Feel likes a kid again.. hahaha..
We tried one of the ride, wow, can only admit that we are too old in heart.. so scary.. hahaha.. Didn’t wait for the fireworks, as the fireworks only start around 8.30pm. short shopping at the souvenirs shop before we ended the day in Disneyland. After a long day in Disneyland, we decided head back to Hostel for rest after dinner.
Hong Kong
After had our late lunch at Sha Tin, we set off to Central. It took us quite sometime to locate this Starbucks coffee house, the special thing about this outlet is they have this old school HK coffee house design.
We can even order pineapple bun here, which normally not available in other Starbucks. Yummy!
Next stop is The Peak. Even though we have bought the combo ticket earlier on, still got to queue. And the queue is super duper long, we waited 1 hour plus before can board the tram. It’s my third time to The Peak, forever crowded!
We had fun at the Madam Tussaud’s museum first. They added more wax figurine, which also include the new movie character. Popular idol like Lee Min Ho having queue again…haha. Most of the picture wasn’t nicely taken, I shall not include here.
Next, we head to top floor for the night view. Still spectacular view as ever but super strong wind.
Even though the view is nice, we couldn’t stand standing outdoor for too long cuz it’s too cold.
After getting down from the nice nice Hong Kong night view, we went for soupy dinner at Cui Hua restaurant. It’s nice to have some warm, soupy meal as dinner.
Again, we have to queue for tram to get down to Central. This time round we decided to take the cab directly back to Jordan. Hmmm.. but it’s very expensive lo. Cuz we got to pay for the toll and return trip from HK island to Jiu long island.
Had our late shopping around Jordan…
Different branches of Cui Hua.
I think this can only be found in HK. Warm sugar cane juice, perfectly nice for the weather.
Wake up early in the morning, heading to Australian Dairy Company.
Wow, so long queue! We waited about half an hour for seat.
Their waiters are not that friendly and helpful as usual, there was one lady trying to ask what is their signature food, the waiter just brushed her off speaking in Cantonese, “I’m busy, don’t come and bother me”.
Manage to order the breakfast set and their dessert.
Breakfast set include Macaroni, Scrambled egg, toast and milk tea. I’m must say that their scrambled egg is the best, smooth, creamy and tastiest scrambled egg. Yummy! Milk tea still not my cup of tea. haha… We also ordered the dessert, the lotus nut and the almond steamed egg. The almond steamed egg surprise me, I dont usually like almond, but this taste is just right.
After the breakfast, we took a cab to Wong Tai Sin temple. Alternatively, taking MTR can reached Wong Tai Sin temple too. It’s a very popular temple in Hong Kong. A lot of visitors as usual.
Next, we took MTR to ShaTin station. The Snoopy World is closed due to bad weather. It wasn’t rain, windy, etc, so what’s the bad weather about? So we just had our lunch there before heading to next destination.
Planned this family trip for 5 days 4 nights.
It was an unexpected colder weather. Meet up with my sis at airport, then head to our hotel. This round chosen a hostel near Jordan MTR. The MTR exit is just door step away from the hostel building. Anyway, cant expect too much on this small little hostel. It’s really small in size but convenient and affordable.
Decided to try the Wanton noodles near our hostel. There’s quite a few eatery at Jordan. The wanton noodles was ok but not to my families’ liking and the price is not cheap though. After the meal, we set off to Tsim Sha Tsui.
Firstly, was the Avenue of Star. Quite relaxing place, but the wind is so strong. Freezing cool. After the Symphony of Lights show, we went to Harbour City for dinner and shopping.
This is my 3rd time to Hong Kong, 1st time for work. Plane touchdown HK airport around 5.30pm, took airport express to HK station then cab to hotel already 7pm. Hotel located at Wanchai, very near to office, walking distance within 5 minutes. A lot of restaurants, food stall nearby, quite convenient.
Dinner at the spaghetti house, the food wasn’t that tasty!
The tv in the room only has 4 channel -_-”’ and the bathroom is small & no place for me to put my facial foam, shampoo etc, noisy.
Breakfast opposite d hotel, ok, then have so many variety of food.. but still dunno what to eat.. so end up with set meal.. noodles & coffee.
After work, went to Causeway bay & Tsim Sha Tsui, everywhere so crowded with people.
