We woke up around 7 or 8am.. today’s plan is go to Children Discovery Museum and chatuchak weekend market. Breakfast we ate McDonald chicken porridge, taste better than I expected.
If any parents would bring their kid to Bangkok, I would recommend to go the Child Discovery Museum. Can arrange on the weekend together with the Chatuchak weekend market.
The nearest BTS station is Mo Chit. so you could plan together if you wanted to visit the Chatuchak weekend market. But take note of their operating hours: 10:00- 16:00pm and close on Monday. And the entrance is FOC, yes totally Free!
We went on Sunday, reached before 10am, there’s already a few group of local queuing.
Before the official opening, the person in charge will announce something in Thai, which I can’t understand at all. The museum is separated to a few building, one building for younger children, the other one for older kids. Outdoor there is one big jungle playground for 7yrs old onward kid, and the other smaller water playground.
You just need to register yourself before going to the museum. We first went to library, don’t worry, they have books in both Thai and English. Ainsley only running around happily, touch here and there, they also have activity on certain timing. But it was in Thai, so we couldn’t take part.
We go to another play room for younger kids, this can keep them occupied. Got soft toys, puzzle, animals…etc.. can climb, can play games..etc.. We stay there for quite long, and the air-con is pretty cold. And the place is well maintain, at least 2 cleaning on the day. So Ainsley can really enjoy herself there.
We move to level 2, which the occupation zone where kids can try on different occupation. However they do not have someone to guide the kids. There are pet shop, grocery shop, beauty salon, firemen, air plane etc. with some props and uniform, some come with helmets too. My gal really enjoy there. Trying different stuff, running up and down.
by noon, she already so tired. Haha.. cause she has been running around. We went to the other building, science, Thai cuisine kitchen.
The other thing to note. that’s no selling of food/drinks..So you might want to pack some food.. or just walk over to chatuchak market.
We walk to chatuchak market since it’s already lunch time, just find a stall and have our quick lunch. Then spend some time shopping at chatuchak, bought the coconut ice-cream again. Weather is hot, so we didn’t spend very long time. Initially we wanted to head back to children discovery museum to enjoy the air-con and let Ainsley play awhile. But we lost our way, end up we having tea break at JJ mall and took the bts back to hotel.
Have our dinner at Terminal 21 again. Oops.. didn’t manage to take the food photo for the whole day.
