This is Ainsley second trip to Bangkok, her first time with SQ.
We selected the seat with bassinet, but the bassinet obviously too small for her, so we didn’t bother to get it installed.
We took cab to airport and our little one woke up once we reached airport and start her venture in the airport. Her eyes literally brightening up when she saw the playground. The playground at Terminal 2 more suitable for elder kids, nevertheless, she still trying to walk up and down. She didn’t wanna tie up with the infant seat belt as usual after we boarded the plane. But she was too tired, thus she sleep throughout the trip till we reach Bangkok.
The air steward mention about the baby meal but till we reach he never come back with the baby meal.. well, Ainsley didn’t wake up for meal, so we get to rest a bit and have our meal on flight.
Bangkok airport still crowded with tourist despite the passing of the king. After clear custom and we took the public taxi to our hotel. The same city we been to earlier this year but the atmosphere was a lot difference. Most local are dressing in black, signboard is black and white, every place we go, much quieter, lesser people on the street. The Thai gov didn’t enforce the tourist to wear the black, out of respect we bring mostly not so bright color clothes.
The check-in was fast, it’s the same hotel we stay when Ainsley still inside me. We get to move to our room despite we reach before the official check in time, Great, we can put our stuff before heading out for lunch.
Lunch settled in Terminal 21, we tried the northern Thai cuisine, the tom yam was nice, the fried veg amazes us, however the pad Thai is disappointing. Shop for some food and drinks before we head back to hotel.
Yes, nap for us. We woke up 4 am this morning. both adults n baby need a good rest. Haha.. Woke up in the evening, we bring Ainsley to the swimming pool.. Hmmm, no one in the pool. We just enjoy our-self, Ainsley is pretty scare to begin with. As usual, she will take sometime to settle down. She keep walking thru and fro from the bench to the pool. Took her awhile to start playing with the water. But she wouldn’t sit on the swimming board we bought for her or let us carry her to deeper area.. Sense of insecurity? haha..
After that we went to Exchange Tower for dinner. it was around 7pm, but that wasn’t a lot diners. We order the pasta and grilled chicken and end up the lava cakes. I like the atmosphere, relaxed and can enjoy the food without noise. Slowly walk over to Terminal 21..shopping again before we head back hotel.
That’s how we spent our first day. Not so much activities, relaxed and laid back.
